Attempt to keep up

I figure I should probably at least try writing something on here, even if it's not a complete exciting update. I do realise that the most interesting things I've done I haven't updated on, which is one reason why I'm up early today. Well, 9am isn't exactly early but because of NYE I didn't go to bed until at least 3am, woke up at 1.30pm yesterday, and so had to force myself to go to bed at 1.30 this morning even though I actually ended up lying there not able to sleep for a while. One main culprit is the bites on my elbows. I think I got them while sitting using the internet outside the other day, because it wasn't working properly in the guest house. Amazingly it now appears to be better here so I can sit in the comfort of my jammies and use the internet.
I moved back into No1 last night. Room 1 is the room I share with Hannah & Leila. Leila was already off on her hols with her bloke when I arrived, and Hannah's Neil has arrived the same day as me, so I ended up in No 2 next door, occasionally popping back to get something I needed from No1. But now Hannah & Neil have gone to the coast for a few days, so I now have the very comfy double bed to myself, and I ain't giving it up for nobody.
So I went to Malta for Christmas, came back on Tuesday. Since then I have watched 17 episodes of Supernatural with Patience and sometimes Darren. We're now at Season 3. Just watched the Groundhog day one. Funny, yet also sad. Looking forward to Ghostfacers.
New Years Eve was fun. Darren, Patience, Hannah, Neil & I went to Habesha's for dinner. Lucky the meal was very cheap as the taxis cost nearly as much. Fleeeced. On the first one at least. Then we came back to the guest house and played monopoly. Oddly I was the only one drinking. Well, not incredibly oddly as Patience & Darren are Mormon and don't drink, but everyone was drinking hot chocolate, apart from me with my low alcohol fruity cider stuff. Until Sarah arrived that is, and she came with the leftovers of a bottle of red wine, which I'm guessing she had already been drinking, and she proceeded to finish the bottle off. So, we played monopoly, then decided to play scattergories next, but we had to wait before starting around because it was nearly midnight. There was a small argument over whose watch or phone was actually correct, and then it was there! I played auld lang syne, the only version I have is a Boney M one though, so it was quite amusing, and we tried to sing along.
Then scattergories, which was fun, and then it was about 2am. P&D went to bed. Sarah decided to make chappattis with the flour she left here. So we gathered in the kitchen with Hannah and had a bit of a girly chat. I'm going round to Sarah's tomorrow for a girly day of lunch, shopping and a twilight & new moon marathon as she's bought them both on dvd. Should be fun. As long as I make sure i'm leaving there before it gets dark anyway.
Then Monday the offices reopen and I guess it's back to work! Today I have to write my personal statement. I've been putting it off because I was away, and then I've had other things on my mind which I couldn't stop thinking about. But today I HAVE to write it. And do my washing. And update about Sudan & Baringo.

Right, better get on that then!
